I was upgraded to first class, the guy next door did not wish to talk , he had large mustache, looked english by the content on tv that he was watching.

The stuartes  was Japanese, polite, looked Pilipino.

Landed in Karachi I wanted to rush to Immigration, as mostly people rush to it and then their is a large Que.. However i went to the last line, and yet there were 30+ people in front of me.

I stood there, and heard the counter on the right of me, which was made for the Crew, saying that the Emirates flight is not in the System yet, and therefor he could not let anyone though.

I stood there in my own line, and the i thought that this guy looked familiar, so I said Salam, and asked how you are ? He said i am well and how are you ?

He said I looked familiar to him also, and he said maybe he did a LP for me, that man was Mr Akbar Rana very good memory of his i guess, and i took his name and put in my cell and found his full name and he asked me again how i am, and i gave him my card, and he remembered me.

He asked me to come to his counter, and he stamped my passport as the first customer.

It was weird how i saw the power of Just saying hello and asking how people are working for me again and again.

I went out and their were no trolleys, as tomorrow is eid, every single flight was full, that is why i got upgraded also.

I asked a gentleman who had a badge on who i can request for trolley and i was told to go to CAA counter, which i did, and again politely requested for trolley.

The guy told me it is over packed today but he is arranging the trolleys.

WHen i got away from him, i saw another FIA guy , who i had met in December with Akbar Rana last year, and i asked him how he was and how his kids are doing.

Last year he asked me about laptops and i gave him my 10,000 rs laptop wala’s number.

I saw my bag had already came in on the belt, which was weird as usually it takes over 1 hr for the bags to come, and yet the bag was there, I was happy, and took all the bags and came out without the trolley.

Coming out was like i was in a Shanghai Bus stop , too many people, moving slowly, but luckily no one pushed me today, well almost no one

I came out and the main exit was swamped with people like bee’s so i took the 2nd exit and went out.

Superman tameez was waiting for me and looked very tired, and upon inquiry i found that he has not slept the night before.

I breathed the air of Karachi looking around, and it came to me that maybe we are impolite and maybe we try to rush for things as their may not be enough resources for all, and unless you jump or rush for things, Pakistani nation feels that they will loose.

Which also dawned on me that is it true or this is how our mind’s have been setup?

Will we learn to collaborate or will we keep on competing with each other and making it worse for all the parties ?

Since this entire week, i have been cursing my self on why i did not move to Malaysia, which reminds me every time i go there as if I am in United Staes, with the big highway and organized things, and really affordable life.

Why do i keep coming back to Pakistan wanting it to be like the country which I WANT it to be , where people follow lines, and give people way, and stop when their is someone in front of their car and let them pass by.

What can i do i ask my self today to bring COLLABORATION to the table and take away the competition from our lives ?

While on my way to Dubai on the plane, i saw the movie Arthur from 1981 and while i was going to KL i saw Arthur 2011, Both the movies had significant changes in themselves.

The 1981 movie heronie was a thief, and was ready to do anything to get married or be with rather as he was rich, where as in the 2011 movie, the heroine was no longer interested in the money but was interested in HIM.

So what happened in 30 years in the movie industry ?

Does it mean that in 1981 times in the US people were also money centric then they are now, like we see people in other developing countries, where values are given away over money ?

So do we have to be rich to find out that being rich does not really matter ?

Only when you are rich, you are sure, that being rich does not really matter…

So thank you allah for this nazool, i am typing this while Tameez bah is driving me home..

So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish.

The frozen fish brought a lower price. So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks. After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste.

The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish. So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan ? If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend?

How Japanese Fish Stay Fresh:

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state. The fish are challenged.

Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired & dull, so we need a Shark in our life to keep us awake and moving?

Basically in our lives Sharks are new challenges to keep us active and taste better….. The more intelligent, persistent and competent you are, the more you enjoy a challenge.

If your challenges are the correct size, and if you are steadily conquering those challenges, you are Conqueror.. You think of your challenges and get energized. You are excited to try new solutions. You have fun. You are alive!

Recommendations for us:

1. Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them. Beat the heck out of them. Enjoy the game. If your challenges are too large or too numerous, do not give up. Failing makes you tired. Instead, reorganize. Find more determination, more knowledge, more help.

2. God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

3. Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards.. Don’t stay on the bumps too long. Move on!

4. When you feel down because you didn’t get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God has thought of something better to give you. When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There’s a purpose to life’s events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.

5. No one can go back and make a brand new start. But anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending
