India Pakistan Friendship Movement on Facebook

// December 14th, 2008 // 5 Comments » // Facebook, India Pakistan Peace

Since the Mumbai bombing, the Tention between India and Pakistan has got to strange heights, even though I saw that People in Pakistan werre morning for the Indian death’s in the same way as they were for the Pakistani death’s, yet the media I belive has been abused by some external forces, who do not wish for these 2 countries to be at peace.
In order for the media to not being able to influence us, I think we need to hear both side of the story accroess the borders, and we need more people that we know on the other side of the border, maybe you are Indian or Pakistani we both need more friends on the other side of the border.
I think facebook and Skype are the best 2 ways to make friends and we need to start doing this right now.
I request all of you who read to make at least 25 friends in facebook who are from the other side of your border.
Go to Facebook, Login, In the search write Mumbai, India or Lahore, Pakistan or any other city that you want to add people from, and you will see people from these places.
Then click the add button enter this text
Hello, My Name is XXXXX, I am from the City of XXXX in COUNTRY , I want to create peace on both side of the borders, therefore  I would like to connect to you via facebook, so we can talk to each other and know each other’s point of view,
I apologize if you find this inconvineint,
Thank You,
YOUR NAME

Once they accept you, send them a hello message and if you find them online on facebook chat, start chatting with them, and tell your point of view and hear their point of view.
If you disagree too much, do not fight, but simply stay calm, and try to find more like minded people.
May Peace live for ever

Chinese Version of the Facebook

// October 6th, 2008 // No Comments » // Facebook

I today found that http://www.xiaonei.com/ is famous in China between students.

Another one famous in Russia is http://vkontakte.ru/

and what site does this page reminds you of ?

Facebook.com :)

Well What ever works, I hope eventually they will all talk to each other, other wise we all stay inside our same box, and do’nt learn from what others have to offer us, thus remain same “Frog of the same Well”

Which makes me think, Maybe Facebook should install a geo ip tracker, and offer like Google does, by default the language of that country, IE when a person in China opens Facebook.com , By Default every  thing comes in Chinese and it can have a English flag or word English somewhere for people like me to login in English.

Travel via the Internet

// May 7th, 2008 // No Comments » // Facebook, Friends, travel, Travelvia the Internet

One of the most important thing that we do when we travel is meet people of different culture, different dressing, different colour, differnt values, differnt religions.

Internet now allow us to experience the same, and for years programs like ICQ, MIRC, Skype and Yahoo were providing the means of making random people meet.

Then came in sites like friendfinder.com type sites, that allowed people of similar interests to meet, however they were paid.

Now the birth of Facebook.com has allowed a tremendous opportunity to be able to get a first hand experience of meeting people from a faraway land, and helping them to communicate on a one to one bases, engaging in a dialog and trying to understand that the differences that they thought are different between them are not so different after all.

Helping the world via Facebook:

People living in hotbeds like Palestine and Israel, India and Pakistan, Taiwan and China, India and China, I can not emphasize  the need of making at least 10 friends and knowing at least 100 people in the other country, if you think that people on that land are evil.

Doing this will allow you to find 2 good people who you can actually relate to , and you can communicate with, and actually share the problems that you face due to the disputes that you have.

How to do this via facebook ? :

Join Facebook, if you are not already on it.

2. Add your current friends on facebook, as unless u actually know how facebook works and what online communication ethics are , you can actually cause harm to the cause that you are doing this in the first place.

3. Seach the country you seek to add people from, and Click on GROUPS, this will enable you to view groups of think alike people, and you can then join that group.

4. After a week of this, you can click on Members in this group, browse though them, and try to add 10 people only from this group, or send them msges about what you are looking for, and hopefully they will accept, This is what I write.
“My Name is Rehan, Nice to Meet you on Facebook, I would like to be your facebook friend to learn more about your country from a person who lives there.”

So far I have made over 2000 friends in the world on Facebook, and Before I go to any country, I know first hand what weather am i to face, which is a good area to live in, what is a good price, what are the local things I should expect.

Every person I have met in my life on the internet  or online has made a difference in my life, and made me who I am today.

Facebook Chat – So Cool – but why not for all ?

// April 19th, 2008 // No Comments » // Facebook, FacebookChat Photo

I was surprised yesterday to see a msg  on some’s facebook saying, he is waiting for Facebook Chat to come alive.

Then Later when I Logged in, I saw that the FACEBOOK chat was alive ?

I was excited, saw 17 other of my friends online, and started to play with it, and found it to be pretty cool.

Later I asked my office guys and gals to msg me via it, but they were not able to find it.

Turns out that it is ONLY working for some people, and not for all yet.

Oh well, for those who have not seen it yet, here is a photo of it.
