Many of us have a great desire desire and passion and great direction for the university, however, I think in 10 years time, most of the universities in the world, will no longer be needed and will be replaced with online universities.
SO if 1 person Salman Khan can Change the world, YOU CAN also, just take a camera, start your mission right away and use tvpakistan.com or youtube.com to voice your goals.
Teach people via internet, no need to build a mulliti million dollar universities, when u can teach even more people with just the power of your computer.

Problem:
Scenario:
However every single city and village in this country has a mosque, not even a mosque but mosque’s are there by the dozens.
Each of these mosque is a place for worship and education of the child and adult in that area.
Unfortunately the imam of that mosque is one of the most un educated person when it comes to the knowledge of the world mostly and in some cases he does not even have the proper knowledge of the religion he is actually trying to teach.
He is however most respected, listened person and a role model to many in his community.
Almost no one can say anything to an Imam, its like a dead lock of communication, thus the imam day by day thinks he is right, and keeps on preaching what he thinks is right.
Solution:
I believe we need to train the trainer, and on a massive scale.
The thought process of these imams need to be changed, we can take advantage of them and use them to educate via them the masses.
I think that the educational NGO’s should work on getting a computer to each of this imam, with a broadband connection, so that there would be a means to track them, to contact them, and to be able to train them.
Once all these imam’s are on a mailing list and a forum, they will start talking , learning and thus transferring the information and knowledge to the people around them.
We would then be able to use them to deliver better quality sermons and better nation will start to emerge.
Will YOU take me up on this ? Start with your Muhalla Imam, does he has an email ? Can you afford to buy a 4000 rs computer for him ? can you afford to sponsor his first 6 months broadband connection fee ?
Can you afford to teach him how to use Social networking , email, and youtube ?
Once you do this, you will see that this imam will start to upgrade himself and thus slowly all his surrounding will start to change.
Rehan Allahwala – BE the change !!!

The Fun Skool Channel
A SOLUTION to How to deliver mass education to the world.
Pakistan:
Pakistan a country of 160 Million with only 25% of it which can read and write.
Problem:
In Pakistan there are over 200,000 school’s of govt of Pakistan that have bad or no teachers.
Those which have teachers, are teachers that are from the local area’s with bad quality of education with themselves also.
Possible Technologies for mass education:
Internet: Internet is a great medium however it is still very expencive and does not reach most of the country.
Television: A Set top box, tv, a small generator or UPS , the entire bundle will cost 125$US per School, to set it up, where the system can then assist the available teacher with good quality of programming, for the students to study Maths, Science, Languages.
It is the cheapest way to deliver high quality low cost education, without going though a massive expencive teachers training program.
200,000 schools will only cost a mere 2 million Dollars to fund.
A TV Channel cost’s less than 200,000$US a year to run with all expences covered.
Past Exerpeinces:
For many years, the virtual university channels were setup to give higher education to the masses are there, but the quality of the programming they deliver is not at par to attract serious audience, and being a govt funded non commercial project, the quality of programming is very boring.
Thinking out of the box:
An Education channel deliverying quality of programming that can attract commercial companies to advertise on it, due to the quality of the programming it will deliver.
Examples:
We have commercial channels like wikid, Cartoon Network, National Geograhic, Discovery, History Channel.
All these channels deliver programming that is high in quality, thus it create’s audience which gives confidence to the commercial companies to advertise on these channels.
Examples of programs:
Programs that can be made by the commercial channels can be.
Lets Learn English
Lets Improve our English
Lets Learn Math’s
Lets learn Urdu
Lets Learn how to ?
a. Make a tv program
b. fix a mobile phone
c. Fix a computer
d. Fix a car
e. Fix an air conditioner
These programs can be made in a way where the viewer can later on actually go and give exam and try to pass the exam based on what he earned from these channels.
I think the National Geographic and Discovery and history channels are already playing their part in the rest of the general education for the masses, however bringing about programs for general masses will help our education a LOT.
Most people claim that education is the biggest problem of this country, and we need to think out of the box in order to solve it.

Concept Paper for a new TV Channel for mass education of Pakistan
The Fun Skool Channel
A SOLUTION to How to fix the Education problem dilemma.
For many years, the virtual university channels were setup to give
education, which I have stopped seeing now in my worldcall cable, the more commercial channels have taken place
of these virtual university channels. So I thought, WHY NOT make Education also into a commercial venture, by
starting a commercial Education channel.
Just like we have these over 60 channels now ,including the weird BABY Channel for Babies,
History Channel, National Geographic, Cartoon Channel Who can not even speak now, Why cant we have a good quality program or
even an entire channel for education, and all the companies who are their wanting to doSOMETHING about
education, can actually sponsor these programs.
Programs that can be made by the commercial channels can be.
Lets Learn English
