Dubai E-Gate Card for Pakistanis

// May 6th, 2009 // 2 Comments » // Dubai, Pakistan

For the last few times, I have been traveling back and forth to Dubai, My Egate card has
not performed and i have had to come to the immigration counter and get the Passport
stamped by them.

I have asked them many times, that why is this happening, they say we do not know, and get
it corrected from the main office.

I went to the main office, and asked them, and they said that we have fixed it and nothing
is wrong.

Today when i was coming from Dubai, the same thing happened again and I had to go to the
immigration Counter.

I asked the same question, and the guy gave me a very strange answer.

He said, What is your nationality, i said, Pakistani, He said, Well That is the problem
No other problem and Laughed.

Well I think since the nationality Pakistani is a Problem for the Egate people, I think
That I will not be renewing my egate card and spend 40$ every 2 years on it and I suggest
other Pakistani’s to do the same, as what is the use of doing so, when since we are Pakistani
We can only Pay for the privilege but not actually benefit of it.

I understand that Pakistani Nationality is not the most famous in the world in the good way, but
the world should keep in mind that if 170 million PROBLEMS do exist in this world, it is a BIG
problem for the entire world, and they may want to reconsider their attitude towards them.

US Housing and Financial Market can learn and benefit from Dubai.

// November 15th, 2008 // No Comments » // Dubai, Immigration, US Green Card Lottery, US Property Market

The US housing market is in a difficult situation and so is the financial market, yet we see that in Middle east the market keep going up and up, and the rents and prices of the properties going up and up, and economic activities keep going up and up, like today the Terminal 3 was opened in Dubai and they announced the construction of Terminal 4 and not to mention the world’s biggest airport the Jabal Ali which will open in June 2009

What Dubai did a few years a go was allowed non citizens to finally be able to buy property in Dubai.

When someone buy’s a property in Dubai they are entitled to a residency in Dubai also and thus loads and loads of money from the countries that are not so politically stable, flocked into Dubai.

Ajman one of the neighboring state is now said to be 60% owned by People from Pakistan, who sold their factories and moved the money to UAE because of the political situation in Pakistan.

The Dubai government  takes 3 days to issue the visa’s to the people who buy the Properties, the person has to go though a medical test and a background check and they can then live in United Arab Emirates.

I think if the United States government does something similar in the United States which is already also being done in Canada and Malaysia, will help get the Housing and Investment market UP also.

The current USDOJ (The New Immigration Dept) brings a new law doing the same, a LOT of people will want to buy 2nd homes in US, and bring a lot of money into the US.

This would be far better then giving away green cards in a lottery and not having to choose who the next resident may be, where as in the above policy the person will be checked and also will be brining for him self and people around him financial freedom.
